xTool P2 Project Ideas

Learn how to make amazing projects with an xTool laser cutter and engraver! xTool P2 Projects

I have been making tons of projects with my xTool P2 Laser Machine. It’s the brand new machine from Makeblock/xTool and is a powerful 55W CO2 laser cutter and engraver. I already own an xTool M1, so I was excited to see how the P2 outperformed it and my Glowforge Pro.

Laser Cut and Engraved Earrings

Earrings are one of the most popular crafts to make with a laser machine. They require a small amount of material, and can be personalized for holidays and gifts.

Acrylic Keychains

Retro keychains have been so popular over the last couple of years! You can engrave inexpensive acrylic keychains, or you can cut your own from sheets of cast acrylic.

And if you don’t want to use acrylic, you can make retro or vintage inspired keychains from wood, too!

Of course, you don’t have to make a retro design, there are tons of different keychains that you can make! This one was constructed from several different pieces of pastel acrylic:

Engraved Coasters

Coasters are also an easy gift idea that you can personalize for a location, wedding, or other occasion. You can engrave slate, glass, leather, wood, or cork, or you can cut pieces to make your own from scratch.

Wooden Signs

Signs are one of the most popular crafts to make with an xTool laser machine. Wood signs are too large for most other craft machines, and you don’t have to use craft vinyl. Laser cut signs are more durable and professional looking.

Acrylic Signs

Just like wooden signs, acrylic signs are a very popular trend, especially these painted clear acrylic signs for bridal showers and weddings.

Acrylic Nightlights

Laser Cut and Engraved Home Decor

Just as with laser cut signs, other home decor items are really popular. I have made and constructed items like earring holders:

You can’t engrave thick objects like this pencil cup with other laser machines. You can get the xTool Riser Base, which allows you to engrave items that are up to 8.5″ thick!

Personalized Tags

In addition to birthday gifts, personalized holiday gift tags are really popular around Christmas. I have made several versions, but this is one of my favorites.

Tags don’t have to be just for gifts! You can make personalized luggage tags too!
