Plan an amazing Halloween Party with these Hocus Pocus Party Ideas that you can make with your Cricut and with party supplies from Oriental Trading.
Just when you thought I was moving on from Hocus Pocus (did you see our Hocus Pocus Halloween Trunk or Treat?), here’s another take on my favorite Halloween movie! For this Halloween party, I partnered with Cricut and Oriental Trading to bring you a less spooky party with a Sanderson sister theme. This party would be appropriate as a Halloween Party for kids or adults, because Hocus Pocus is loved by people of all ages.
For this Halloween party, I decided to bring in brighter colors and a more modern feel with black and white stripes. No skulls or potions at this party! When you’re styling your Halloween party, it’s a good idea to consider your guests. Since I have younger kids and their friends (and younger siblings) will be attending our Trick or Treat, I decided to make the theme a little more kid-friendly than the Trunk or Treat (CLICK HERE TO SEE THE Hocus Pocus Trunk or Treat). But, because the Halloween products at Oriental Trading are so versatile (SHOP HALLOWEEN DECOR HERE), I re-purposed some of the decor from the Trunk or Treat!

In addition to the Halloween goodies from Oriental Trading, I was able to create a lot of tiny details for the party using my Cricut Maker, which has become my favorite party planning assistant. Seriously, planning a Hocus Pocus party or any other Halloween party is much easier when you have a Cricut that can cut out budget-friendly party supplies for you.
Budget-Friendly Hocus Pocus Party Decorations
I used a plain black picture frame with wrapping paper inside of it to create the background for “Amok! Amok! Amok!” cut out of Cricut Vinyl. It’s one of the most iconic and funny parts of the Hocus Pocus! With a simple font cut to fit a picture frame, you can design a backdrop with just a couple of supplies. I also made a FREE Hocus Pocus Amok SVG File for you to download!
The Sanderson sister rosettes were also made on the Cricut Maker (they score and cut the paper, making them a breeze to fold!), and the other varieties of rosettes were from Oriental Trading (spiderweb variety) and Target. The graphics for the Sanderson sister silhouettes I found on Etsy (GET THEM HERE) and I couldn’t pass them up! I absolutely adore the Hocus Pocus silhouettes of the Sanderson sisters and I plan on using them for many more DIY Halloween Crafts.
The cupcake toppers were one of my favorite elements. Simple treat boxes from Target and Wilton Halloween sprinkles made store-bought cupcakes look much more appealing. With the addition of the Hocus Pocus witches cut out of cardstock and attached to lollipop sticks, these are about the cutest Halloween party cupcakes ever!
Mini cauldrons from Oriental Trading filled with lime green candies and colorful broomstick pens (also from OTC) made cute little favors.
I made print and cut stickers in Cricut Design Space for the Halloween Treat Bags from Oriental Trading (such an easy project!), and filled OTC candy tubes with Reeses Pieces candy to color coordinate with the rest of the party.
Orange candy buckets from Oriental Trading look like expensive party pieces when customized with Cricut vinyl witch hats and “Amok!” These witch hat decals could easily be made with vinyl scraps.
