It’s October, and that means that Halloween decorating is in full swing! In our neighborhood we get a ton of trick-or-treaters, but I’ve always wanted to participate in a Halloween Trunk or Treat in our area. I think it’s such a good idea! This year, I’m SO excited to team up with some of my favorite bloggers for the Trunk or Treat Halloween Blog Hop! And we were incredibly lucky to work with a fabulous Halloween (and all occasion) supply company, Oriental Trading. Along with my trusty Cricut, I made some AWESOME projects for you to try for your next Trunk or Treat. Keep reading for the best Hocus Pocus Trunk or Treat Ideas!

How to Decorate a Hocus Pocus Trunk or Treat
One of my all-time favorite Halloween movies is “Hocus Pocus,” so I immediately decided to work on a Halloween Trunk or Treat themed after the movie. Bring out the Sanderson Sisters!
I wanted to make it a little spooky, but not enough to scare away the little kids. A “Hocus Pocus” banner hanging from the top of the car greets everyone.
Of course I enlisted the help of my Cricut Maker to add details to my decor, including the above banner and the names on these tombstones from Oriental Trading. I was able to find that “vintage” vacuum, just like the kind Mary Sanderson rides in the movie, and I love it!
The inside of the trunk is filled with spooky and humorous details. To find some of the items in the shot, head over to the Halloween section at Oriental Trading, and I’ll post all of the products later in the post. You can also see that we filled a cauldron with candy to hand out at the Trunk or Treat.
One of my favorite pieces from the decor was this “Come Little Children” sign that I crafted with a chalkboard sign from Oriental Trading and white outdoor vinyl from Cricut, which for those of you that have seen the movie, is the song that Sarah Sanderson sings to lure all of the little children to their cabin (why does that sound worse that it seems in the movie? haha!) And I couldn’t forget the container of salt, which is supposed to ward off the witches.
Every witch needs a spell book, and although not as amazing as the one from the movie, I just love this prop book! A Halloween cloche from Target holds a fake skull.
