Make your Own Halloween Cards
I’m a huge advocate of making your own greeting cards. There are loads of people that just toss their cards in the trash bin, so making your own makes it more special (maybe they’ll keep them) and it’s more affordable!
Making DIY Halloween Cards is SO practical. I have a lot of craft supplies in my house, so I really try to work with what I have so I don’t have to go out to the store. Plus, now that it’s October, it’s hard to find Halloween supplies – it’s all about Christmas at the craft stores here!
That’s how I ended up with this adorable Pineapple Halloween card – I used summer pattern craft paper and it turned out SO cute! It was a huge hit with my sister and my mom, too.
And with the launch of the Cricut Joy, making cards was never easier! When the Joy machine launched, Cricut also debuted Blank Insert Cards which are INCREDIBLE. They are hands down one of my favorite DIY Stationery products on the market right now. In addition, they are regularly under $5 for a WHOLE SET of cards and inserts, which is an INCREDIBLE deal, considering how much store bought cards can be!
It’s so easy to make your own cards for holidays, birthdays, and celebrations, and Cricut has a TON of designs in Design Space that work with insert cards. Although Insert Cards work seamlessly with the Cricut Joy and the card mat, you can also use them on the larger Cricut machines.
Plus, I’ve designed a Halloween card that works perfectly with insert card blanks! I can’t wait to make more for upcoming holidays! I love how this one has a draw design AND a cut design to make the card extra professional!
