The amazing people over at Cricut sponsored this cocktail party and post, but all of the opinions and feelings about (how awesome) their products are mine.
Strawberries are currently in season here in PA, and when Cricut asked me to throw a cocktail party, I couldn’t resist throwing a party with a strawberry theme. I absolutely love fresh strawberries, and putting them in desserts and drinks every June is one of my favorite things to do. Every year for my birthday (at the beginning of June), my dad always brings me a ton of freshly picked berries from the first harvest! I look forward to it every year. We invited a few friends over to celebrate, and put together a few quick projects with our Cricut machine to dress up the table!
These beautiful flowers are from The Bloomery, and we also picked some mock orange from the garden. How gorgeous are those peonies?
One of my favorite shots from the party–rosé anyone?
We served a strawberry cake with white buttercream in a simple but elegant lattice pattern and garnished the whole cake with fresh strawberries:
One of the projects we completed with the help of our Cricut was this adorable ribbon slide tag for the small baskets of berries on the table:
We made a batch of Strawberry Mojitos in a pitcher (wait until you see the gold foil glasses!):
Aren’t those awesome! With the Cricut Explore Air 2 and Cricut brand Gold Adhesive Foil, these were an easy project!
Another Cricut project were the drink tags for the champagne cocktails. A simple monogram made it easy for everyone to find their glasses:
In addition to the drink tags, the champagne glasses sat on a customized tray with Cricut adhesive gold foil and traditional vinyl.
One of the small desserts served were individual pavlovas with lemon curd, strawberries, and mint:
We also had Mini Strawberry Shortcakes, macarons, and strawberry caprese salad skewers.
Later this week, we are going to share how to make one of the projects from the party, so stay tuned! Here’s a sneak peek of the Cricut in action on those berry basket tags:
