Free Printable Valentine’s Day Cards
Updated for 2022! It never fails – every year my kids want to give Valentines to their friends that I can’t find at the store. Over the years I’ve designed some cute free printables that I’ve shared for free, PLUS I’ve downloaded some other free valentine printables online. I’ve collected some of my favorite ones so you can use them, too!
Printable cards are a great way to customize valentines just for your kids and are a great alternative to cards from a store. Plus, you can grab candy or small toys from the dollar store to add to the simple cards to create your own valentines. If you’re like me, they are a great last minute option, too!
For each printable, just head to the blog post and follow the instructions for downloading. There are a ton of great ideas for everyone. Each of these talented bloggers have different systems and rules for downloading, so just take a few minutes and check out their blogs!

Tips for Printable Valentine’s Day Cards
You can print them at home or take them to a local print shop. For the best results with printables, you’ll need a quality inkjet or Laser printer. I use a Canon inkjet craft printer for all of my free Valentine’s Day printables, and I love it! I would also recommend using cardstock paper, so they will be more durable than printer paper.
Most free printables will download as a PDF file or Zip file. Some can even be formatted so that you can add your own child’s name.
The best part about print your own valentines? You don’t have to be a pro to make your own DIY valentine! Plus, you can print as many as you need at little to no additional cost!

These dinosaur valentines were for my littlest kids and include a little gift – so they are gender neutral and perfect for gifting a non-candy option. Plus, I love the color scheme!
If you live in a school district that doesn’t allow candy, healthy fruit snacks are a great idea! You could also add a small fruit cup if you’re providing snacks for an in-person school party.
Harry Potter is a family favorite for every holiday, so I hand lettered these printables last year that are sized for classroom boxes! You could add little toys or small trinkets for your own personal touch.

Unicorn valentines are one of the most popular options for elementary school age kids. My cute Valentine’s Day unicorn printables can be used as small cards or even printable tags to attach to bags.
Speaking of cute animals, these lunch box notes from Hey Let’s Make Stuff are adorable and would also make cute candy valentines if paired with a small bag of colorful candy. The flamingo one is definitely my favorite!
Hit up the party section of Target or another local store and find cute favors that you can pair with valentines. I love these donut erasers – they only cost a little bit per eraser, and they are a great non-candy option, too.
