Free Printable Dinosaur Valentines

I have 4 kids ages 2 to 13, so I’m constantly on the lookout for cute valentines that they can take to school parties or just hand out to their friends. These printable dinosaur valentines are perfect for my two littlest kids – and are appropriate for both boys and girls!

Free Printable Dinosaur Valentines for Kids
Long gone are the days when we used to come home with bags full of candy for Valentine’s Day. There are a lot of schools – including some of the schools here – that won’t allow kids to bring candy of any kind for school parties or with valentine cards.
If you don’t want to spend a ton of money on non-candy valentines, these dinosaur printable valentines are the answer! They’re great for following school health guidelines and are an easy allergy-friendly Valentine idea.
You can use small dinosaur toys from the dollar store or the dollar bins at Target, or even small erasers from the Valentine’s Day aisle or party aisle. Another great option for finding dinosaur toys are Amazon (especially if you need bulk dinosaur toys for a reasonable price) and Oriental Trading.
I designed the printable valentine cards to be appropriate for both my son and daughter. They both have such different personalities and tastes but they LOVE playing with dinosaurs! These valentines are perfect for school parties because you can print as many as you’d like and mix and match the invites for the whole class.
What you Need for Dinosaur Valentines Printable
To make these FREE Printable Dinosaur Valentine Cards for kids, you’ll need:
- Cardstock Paper
- Laser or Inkjet Printer (have you seen this crafting printer on Amazon?
- Scissors (or my favorite Cricut paper cutter/trimmer)
- Small Dinosaur Toys or Eraser
- Washi Tape
- Printable Dinosaur Valentines (download in the gray box at the end of the post)

How to Use Printable Dinosaur Valentine Cards
First, download the free printable valentine cards at the end of the post. Open on your computer and print onto thick paper like cardstock. You can alternatively send them to your local professional printer.
Each page comes with 6 valentine cards – print as many sheets as you need! Cut out all of the cards with a paper trimmer or a pair of scissors.
I like to let my younger kids use the whole back of the valentine card to sign their name – it gives them a little more space to write! Place a dinosaur on the valentine, and place a piece of washi tape over the dinosaur to hold it in place. Get creative! You can use solid colored washi tape or mix it up and use Valentine’s Day themed, metallic, or patterned.
Alternatively, you can use a glue dot, hot glue, or twine to attach the dinosaur to the printable valentine.
The girl version is really cute with the touches of pink – but the base color is still blue which looks great with any dinosaur toy.
The boy version still has cute hearts as a background, but are toned down in primary colors.
You’re done! These valentines are perfect to take to school as is, or placed inside of a small plastic bag. Small protective bags are a great idea if the kids will be placing them down in homemade Valentine’s Day boxes.
