My friends and I craft for our blogs, but we love crafting for fun, too! This crafting mug is perfect for me, because I need lots of coffee everyday to keep up. You can design your own mug too, with any of the free SVG files we have created!
The crafting SVG I designed for my mug also looks great on a crafting shirt!
Supplies to Make your Own Mug
Here are the craft supplies you need to make your own crafting coffee mug, as well as my favorite supplies to make DIY crafting shirt.
- Cutting Machine (Buy a Cricut on Amazon or on the Cricut Online Shop | Silhouette on Amazon)
- Adhesive Vinyl (for mugs) from Cricut or from Expressions Vinyl
- Transfer Tape
- Iron On Vinyl on Cricut | HTV from Expressions Vinyl
- Cricut EasyPress 2 or Regular Iron
- Coffee, Craft, & Repeat SVG (Download at the end of the post)
- Blank Mug (make a bunch of them with a set of blank mugs from Amazon)
- Blank Shirt (here’s my favorite blank shirt brand that I buy on Amazon)
How to Make a Mug with Free SVG
Download the free SVG and upload it to Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Studio.
If you’re new to using SVG files with your Cricut machine, make sure you read my full post on How to Upload an SVG to Cricut Design Space.
Size the design to fit your mug, and cut when ready. Weed away extra vinyl. Use transfer tape to move it from the backing sheet to your mug. Rub design on to the mug and carefully remove the transfer tape.
Simple Instructions to Make a Shirt: Upload the Free Crafting SVG file to your cutting software and size it to fit your shirt. Make sure to MIRROR the design before cutting, and then cut when ready. The shiny side of the vinyl goes DOWN on your mat. Weed away the extra vinyl. Iron on or use the EasyPress 2 to press the vinyl design onto the shirt. If you’re using the Cricut EasyPress, for recommendations based on your materials, you can check out the Cricut EasyPress Recommended Settings.
