Teacher Appreciation Printable Gift Tag

Although I wish my kids were already done with school for the year, they don’t start summer vacation until into June (I’m definitely making this Happy Last Day of School Shirt), so we are still planning end-of-year gifts for their teachers. Since it is strawberry season here, we decided to make some delicious and simple Strawberry Muffins and I used my Cricut machine to make a cute little gift box out of Natalie Malan Deluxe Paper, which you can find on the Cricut online store. I also designed a “sweet” printable gift tag for y’all that you can use for a similar Teacher gift!

How to Make your Own Teacher Appreciation Gift Box

I absolutely adore making small boxes like this one with my Cricut. Before I owned my Cricut Explore Air 2 and Cricut Maker, I would typically place baked goods in a small clear bag or maybe a small box that I purchased at a baking supply store. But with just a couple of sheets of pretty card stock and a 3D box design on Cricut Design Space, I have a custom sized box that matches my tags perfectly. You can make a Pinterest-worthy Teacher Appreciation gift in just a few minutes using your Cricut!

For this project, you will need:

How to Make a Teacher Appreciation Gift Box in Cricut Design Space

In Cricut Design Space, there are a few different boxes available. The one I used is available for free if you are a Cricut Access member (if you aren’t, you should be! FIND OUT ALL ABOUT CRICUT ACCESS HERE to learn about the 1000s of designs you can use, and exclusive discounts!)

I sized the box and the scalloped lid for this Teacher Gift box so you don’t have to: OPEN TEACHER GIFT BOX PROJECT IN CRICUT DESIGN SPACE.

This is what the design looks like in the Design Space canvas:

The bottom of the box and the lid are two different colors because I wanted to cut them out of two different styles of paper. Should you wish to cut them from one kind, you can change the colors to match if you prefer (however, if you use the pre-sized box above, it will still require two pieces of 12 x 12″ paper.)

When you click “Make It”, you’ll see that two cutting mats are required:

In addition, you’ll notice that the box will be pre-scored by your Cricut machine–so make sure you load your scoring tool into the “A” housing on your machine! The scoring tool is amazing and makes projects like this teacher gift SO easy to fold!

Once you’ve cut out your pieces, just fold and glue using the fold-down tabs.

I am obsessed with all things gingham, so this monochromatic green gingham was perfect to hold my strawberry muffins for the teachers! The whole set of Natalie Malan Deluxe Paper that this pattern is included with is just perfect!
