I planned an awesome Dinosaur Birthday Party for Martha Stewart and Cricut, so I’ve been planning even more ideas for dinosaur birthday parties. These Dinosaur Egg Rice Krispie treats are the perfect party food or would even make a great Dinosaur egg party favor! The best part about Dinosaur Rice Krispies is that they are SUPER easy to make. While making Easter egg Rice Krispie Treats gets way more attention, these Dinosaur Eggs are the perfect twist on an original!
These Dino Eggs are such a fun way to add to a Dinosaur Birthday Party. If you’re planning a Dinosaur dessert table, these would be so cute to display! I used Spring colored Rice Krispie Cereal because they matched the other supplies from my Dinosaur party. The blue and green Rice Krispies look so cute and make the Dinosaur eggs look speckled.

Can’t find Spring Rick Krispie Treats? You can color the cereal with food coloring! Add a few drops and stir the cereal until it’s colored. Just make sure it’s dry before you make the treats.
How to Make Dinosaur Egg Rice Krispie Treats
The best part of this dinosaur egg recipe is that all that is required is a regular batch of Rice Krispie Treats. My favorite recipe is the Original Rice Krispies treat recipe from Rice Krispies Cereal.
Follow the directions to make one recipe. While the Rice Krispie Treats are still warm, take a handful and squeeze them into a tight egg-shape.
You can also cut a pan of Rice Krispie Treats into squares and then form each square into an egg shape. Alternatively, use a plastic Easter egg as a mold!
You can make easy variations of the Dinosaur eggs, especially if you’re using them as a Dinosaur Party Favor Idea. You could easily add a small dinosaur toy or small pieces of candy in the center of the eggs.
I chose to display them in little dinosaur egg “nests” using a cupcake wrapper, but a small Easter egg carton would be adorable as well! You could even add them to a small personalized Dinosaur favor bucket like I did!

How did you add the blue and green coloring to the Dino Rice Krispie treats?
It’s pre-dyed! But you can add food coloring to the marshmallow mix – Do it in different colored batches, then make the eggs!
Where do you get the pre-dyed rice krispies?
I think at Walmart or Target! You can also dye them with some food coloring while you’re mixing it up – just divide the batch! It won’t be quite the same but still cute!
