Minnie Mouse Birthday Party Ideas
Birthday parties are one of my favorite events to design, especially little kid parties. When the folks over at Cricut asked me to design a Minnie Mouse birthday party using their new Cricut Explore Air 2 machine and designs, I immediately fell in love with their licensed Minnie Mouse collection! Did you know that you don’t need a Minnie Mouse Cricut cartridge anymore? All of the Minnie Mouse Cricut designs are now digital designs within Cricut Design Space! (Updated: these Minnie Mouse birthday party supplies are also really easy to make with your Cricut Maker!)

Most people that know me, know I love Disney, but most of my parties are a touch more modern than a traditional Disney theme. I gave the Minnie Mouse birthday party a clean and updated feel by using a red, yellow, black, and white color scheme and by using patterns like black & white stripes and red & white polka dots. I also used a lot of Minnie Mouse silhouettes in the party, but no full-on character designs. Continue reading to see all of our Minnie Mouse birthday party ideas made with Cricut!
Minnie Mouse Party Decorations DIY
I have to say, I can’t believe how easy it is to pull off an awesome and detailed Minnie Mouse birthday dessert table like this using my new Cricut Explore Air 2! This is my first time owning a Cricut, and I’m quickly becoming obsessed. I mean, there isn’t much else left in my house to apply Vinyl to (only sort of kidding – I want to monogram ALL the things!). I used the Cricut Explore Air 2 machine and Cricut cutting materials to make nearly every detail of this party! Check out all of my Minnie Mouse birthday party ideas in the following pictures and I’ll be breaking down some of the Minnie Mouse party decorations to inspire you to make your own!

Minnie Mouse Birthday Party Decorations
I wanted to make an easy Minnie Mouse birthday cake that could be replicated by everyone! I decorated a polka dot cake with a large Cricut Minnie Mouse bow and “Emme” cut out of cardstock.

I used the Cricut print-and-cut feature to make easy Minnie Mouse favor gift bags for the guests, as well as DIY Minnie Mouse cupcake toppers to dress up store bought cupcakes:
This is one of my favorite photos from the Minnie Mouse Birthday Party:
I also used a scallop cupcake topper design in the Cricut Design Space to make the yellow wrappers to place store-bought cupcakes in.

Let’s talk for a second about the print-and-cut feature in the new Cricut Design Space–talk about life changing. I mean it! I uploaded my Minnie Mouse cupcake topper design in Cricut Design Space, printed the design onto cardstock using my own printer, and the Explore Air 2 machine cuts RIGHT AROUND the edge of the printed topper. I can’t even! No more massive hand punches for me! Print-and-cut with Cricut Design Space is SO easy!!
I made this EASY Cricut Minnie Mouse bow and pom pom banner using a 3D bow design:
And used Minnie Mouse silhouettes cut out of black vinyl and red adhesive foil to decorate mini milk glasses and Minnie Mouse paper plates (talk about easy Minnie Mouse birthday party supplies!)
Using the same 3D bow file on Design Space, and cutting simple circles, I crafted this super simple honeycomb topiary (one for each end of the table; this could also be used as a Minnie Mouse or Mickey Mouse party themed centerpiece):
And because I can’t do a birthday party without some custom macarons (I swear, it’s a problem), I used some chocolate melts and macarons I picked up at a local store and made quick Mickey Mouse macarons. Also pictured are Oreos with chocolate Minnie Mouse silhouettes I made to stick on them:

Love this! Any idea where you got the white vases?
Believe it or not, they’re from Goodwill!
Of course. Guess I need to get creative. Are the honeycombs 8 or 12inch?
I see those vases all of the time – they were a pretty popular design! I believe they were 8″ 🙂
