These nine labels are FREE and all you have to do is download the file, print, and cut them out. You can use scissors or the print then cut function on your Cricut machine or Silhouette machine.
They’re an easy way to dress up plain potion bottles, or even your journal, planner, or craft projects. I love using them as printable stickers! I am even going to use them for Halloween – yes, I have a Halloween tree!
What Printable Harry Potter Potions Labels are Included?
Harry Potter Potion Label Designs are hand drawn and include:
- Amortentia (Love Potion)
- Draught of Living Death
- Polyjuice Potion (Transfiguration Potion)
- Draught of Peace
- Felix Felicis (Liquid Luck Potion)
- Floo Powder
- Veritaserum (Truth Potion)
- Elixir of Life
- Skele-Gro
Supplies Needed to Make DIY Harry Potter Potions
- Potion Bottles (I used simple plastic bottles from Amazon – there are tons of options!)
- Glitter (I found that chunky glitter or a mixture of chunky and fine glitter work best)
- Clear Liquid Glue (Glycerin will also work)
- Water
- Ink Jet Printer
- Printable Adhesive Vinyl (I use this paper for all of my printable stickers)
- Cricut or Silhouette Machine (if using print then cut function)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Eye Hooks (if making potion bottle ornaments)
What I love about these labels is being about to cut them out on my Cricut machine! My favorite product to use for printable stickers is Printable Vinyl, but you don’t even need sticker paper! You can print the free stickers on regular paper, then use a Xyron Sticker Maker or Creative Station to make stickers. Printable Vinyl is much more durable, though and it has a nice slightly photo-finish to it.
Make your Own Harry Potter Potion Label Printables
You can make these labels in just a few minutes using your Cricut machine, but you can definitely use scissors. I’m including a brief tutorial for making the potion stickers using Cricut Print then Cut because this file is slightly different than my other Free Printable Stickers posts.
You’ll need a Cricut Explore Air 2 or Cricut Maker – the Cricut Joy doesn’t have the ability to create Print then Cut projects.
If you’re new to using files you download with your Cricut machine, make sure you read my full post on How to Upload an SVG to Cricut Design Space. This process will be similar.
NOTE: Included the the downloadable file is a folder that contains each of the nine potion labels as individual PNG files that you can upload into Cricut Design Space. You can upload each potion by itself, then resize it to fit the bottles that you are using. You can also upload the whole page and cut all of the potion labels at once if you are using them for a planner, journal, etc.
Upload the PNG into Cricut Design Space and place on canvas. Size to fit the print then cut area. Prepare material by following onscreen instructions to print on your printer and then load. Cut vinyl or sticker paper to kiss cut and peel the stickers off, or alternatively use paper and make stickers using a sticker machine.
Make your Own Harry Potter Potion Bottles with Free Printable Labels
Making the potions is super easy! Collect your favorite glitter – I tried to find glitter to represent the potion as described in the books or movies. For example, I used a mixture of gold glitter for Felix Felicis (“liquid luck”).
And for Floo Powder I used a mixture of black glitter with stars. I love this one!
Fill each bottle 1/2 way with clear liquid glue. Fill the rest with warm water, leaving room at the top to add glitter. Stir until the water and glue are completely combined.
Add glitter and swirl to mix.
Use hot glue to place a thin band around the cork stopper and push into the bottle to seal. Run another band of glue around the top edge of the bottle to add an extra seal. Let the glue harden completely.
To make a potion bottle ornament, screw a small eye hook into the cork stopper.
Use ribbon or an ornament hanger to hang.
The glue will help to suspend the glitter, giving it a “snow globe” type magical effect!
The glitter will fall over time, but you can turn the potion bottle over and mix to re-suspend it!

Loved making these. I found the tiny bottles at dollar tree (6 for $1) and found glitter glue in several different colors. Used a mixture of 50/50 glitter glue and water but then changed to more of a 75glitter glue/25 water so the glitter was thicker and really “sparkled”. I used hot glue to seal then topped off with melted red candle wax. Sorry, didn’t take pictured
