What’s better than spending time with your family on Thanksgiving – you get to eat, drink, and watch football (or play football!) This Free Thanksgiving SVG that is part of this month’s Free SVG Blog Hop celebrates all of the things I love about Thanksgiving! It makes a perfect shirt to wear on Turkey Day, or see later in the post where I added it to a cute little wood sign that would make the perfect DIY Thanksgiving decor project.
The Totally Free SVG Blog Hops are some of my favorite posts: make sure you don’t miss this year’s Thanksgiving post:
You can download my Free Thanksgiving SVG at the end of the post (in the big gray download box!) and get the links to all of the other Free SVGs at the end of the post as well.
Free Thanksgiving SVG Files
I’ve rounded up all of my favorite Thanksgiving SVG Files you can get for FREE – all in one place!
If you’d like to make a Thanksgiving shirt, you’ll need the following supplies:
- Cutting Machine (Buy a Cricut on Amazon or on the Cricut Online Shop | Silhouette on Amazon)
- Iron On Vinyl on Cricut | HTV from Expressions Vinyl
- Cricut EasyPress 2 or Regular Iron
- Free Thanksgiving SVG (Download in the gray box at the end of the post)
- Blank Shirt (here’s the Marbled White & Gray Shirt I used on Amazon)
First, upload the SVG File in Cricut Design Space. (If you have a Silhouette cutting machine, you’ll need an upgraded version of their software to import an SVG).
Size the design to fit your shirt (or sign, etc).
Click the green “Make It” button.
If you are using Iron On Vinyl, make sure that you MIRROR the design before you cut it!
Cut out the design and remove the excess iron on vinyl.
Using the Cricut EasyPress, press the design on to your surface (use this EasyPress Reference Chart to check for your material/crafting material).
Did you know that you can also use Iron On on wood signs? See our post on How to Make a Personalized Wood Tray for more information on ironing on materials other than shirts.
