Free Procreate Brushes
I’m a huge fan of the brushes included with the Procreate app (they are great!) but I love to try out new brushes to see what I can draw with them!
You can download brushes for all styles of art. These include: sketching brushes, comic ink brushes, oil paint brushes, and watercolor brushes. Plus, there are special effects brushes like hair brushes. You can use those to create realistic hair on characters. The right brushes will depend on the type of project you are making.

Procreate is a digital drawing app available in the app store for iPad and iPad Pro (and iPhone, too!) that you can use with an Apple pencil. Procreate costs $9.99 for the iPad version, and $4.99 for Procreate Pocket for iPhone. For less than the cost of two Starbucks drinks, you will have lifetime access to the app. All updates are included.
Included with your download is a great set of basic brushes. My favorites are hand lettering, watercolor brushes, texture brushes, ink brushes, and more! Also included are sample color palettes which I don’t use as much as the different brush packs.

Procreate is a great choice for beginners. It is also used in graphic design and by digital artists to create illustrations and paintings. I use it ALL the time to create SVG cut files for Cricut and Silhouette machines. I also sketch out my design projects, create digital calligraphy, and draw my illustration work. My printable stickers, iPhone app and widget icons, and digital animations are all drawn on Procreate.
With Procreate you can produce high quality digital art for commercial or personal use. One of the things that I love about Procreate is the ability to create custom color palettes, custom brushes, and stamp brushes.
Best Free Procreate Brushes
I have a wide variety of brushes that I use all the time, and it took me a while to create my own Procreate brush collection. Don’t be afraid to look for great brushes from professional artists too! A lot of artists create unique brushes and share them for free.
