Free Harry Potter The Wand Chooses the Wizard SVG Cut File

I have finally created another FREE Harry Potter inspired SVG File! For this installment in my wizarding world of SVG cut files, I hand lettered a “The Wand Chooses the Wizard” Harry Potter wand SVG. This SVG cut file is perfect to use with your Cricut and Silhouette Machines to make Vacation Shirts for your family, DIY Harry Potter Shirts, or Harry Potter decor.
Harry Potter SVG Free Files
I love the whole Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and I’ve been having fun making my own DIY Harry Potter Shirts to wear to Universal Studios (and to Target).
For the release of the last Fantastic Beasts movie, I made this “My Patronus is a Niffler” hand lettered FREE Harry Potter SVG to make a shirt and I loved how it turned out! I even have a special “I Solemnly Swear that I’m up to No Good” Harry Potter SVG in my online shop. And I have a BRAND NEW set of 3 Harry Potter Spells SVG Cut Files that you can download for FREE as well!
Supplies Needed Make your Own Harry Potter Shirt
What supplies do you need to make your own Harry Potter quote shirt? You’ll need this supplies to make this DIY Shirt with your Cricut or Silhouette machines:
- Cutting Machine (Buy a Cricut on Amazon or on the Cricut Online Shop | Silhouette on Amazon)
- Iron On Vinyl
- Cricut EasyPress 2 or Regular Iron
- The Wand Chooses the Wizard Harry Potter SVG (Download at the end of the post)
- Blank Shirt (here’s the blank dark gray tank I used for purchase on Amazon)
Note: SVG Cut Files can only be uploaded in upgraded versions of Silhouette Studio.

How to Make your Own Harry Potter Wand Shirt
Upload your SVG file to your cutting software and size it to fit your shirt.
If you’re new to using SVG files with your Cricut machine, make sure you read my full post on How to Upload an SVG to Cricut Design Space.
Make sure to MIRROR the design before cutting, and then cut when ready. The shiny side of the vinyl goes DOWN on your mat. Weed away the extra vinyl. Iron on or use the EasyPress 2 to press the vinyl design onto the shirt. If you’re using the Cricut EasyPress, for recommendations based on your materials, you can check out the Cricut EasyPress Recommended Settings.

Can this file be cut as a stencil? How do you make sure the letters like “O”, “A”, “G” etc are cut correctly?
Yeah! You can just reverse weed it and then after you place the big stencil, take the centers of the letters and add them individually on whatever surface you’re placing your stencil on 🙂

Nope! I do an instant download system -you have to put your email in each time so the download button will pop up, but your email is only subscribed once.
