DIY Christmas Gifts are in full swing here, so we will be sharing a few that we’ve made (or will be making) over the next two weeks! This is easily one of my favorites–a DIY Monogram Plaid Tote Bag that can be made in just a few minutes!

I cut a simple monogram with my Cricut Maker and some Gold Foil Iron On material and used my Cricut EasyPress to iron it on the tote bag. The tote bag is an inexpensive bag that I purchased at a local department store, and I absolutely love the Christmas-y colors of the plaid!

The only tricky thing to this bag (other than making sure you set your image to “mirror” before cutting!) is that because of the pocket and handles, it’s hard to get the press to be flat against the iron-on monogram. To fix that, I folded a couple of small towels and placed them underneath the pressing area so when I pushed down lightly with my EasyPress, it made full contact with the monogram.

You can use a traditional 3-letter monogram as I did, or you could easily use a name, or one large initial. Any of them would be perfect!
