May the 4th be with you on this Star Wars Day!

Today we are sharing a BB-8 Star Wars Birthday Party in honor of one of our favorite “holidays!” Although we can’t share the stationery from this party because of all of the awesome (and trademarked) Star Wars components, we are sure that you’ll find some inspiration for the next Star Wars party at your house!

The birthday boy is absolutely obsessed with Star Wars, and BB-8 is one of his favorite characters. How perfect that it was his 8th birthday?

This party was by far one of our favorite parties we’ve ever done. The details for inspiration that the Star Wars movies provide is compared to none other.

Plain chocolate and vanilla macarons were transformed into Wookie Cookies and Stormtroopers with melted chocolate, sprinkles, and royal icing:

The symbol for the Resistance was cut out of fondant for these chocolate chip cupcakes in party cups:

The Dark Side was represented by First Order logos cut out of fondant (and colored with a food ink marker) and placed on Dark Fudge Cupcakes:

Each party-goer left with a Star Wars metal lunch box filled with candy, temporary tattoos, and other Star Wars goodies:

Mini Donuts were topped with orange sprinkles and a BB-8 head cut out of card stock for a fun treat:

A Star Wars party cannot be complete without chocolate-covered pretzel Lightsabers!

Chocolate covered Oreos were transformed into R2-D2 with a simple design of melted candy melts, and a custom tag for the stick:

The birthday boy’s special request for a cake design (of course!) was a BB-8, made simple with a regular round cake pan and a half-dome pan:

One of our favorite treats were the BB-8 sugar cookies, made simple with a custom cookie cutter some painted fondant:

Each kid also got to choose his own Lightsaber (aka Bubble Wand) to take home:
