Ingredients
4cupsmixed raw nuts(I used pecans, almonds, and walnuts)
1tspkosher salt
1 1/2tspsmoked paprika
1 1/2tspcumin
1tspcinnamon
1/2tspcayenne pepper(more or less to taste)
1/2cupgranulated sugar
1egg white
Instructions
Preheat oven to 300°. Prepare a cookie sheet with a silicone baking mat.
In a medium sized bowl, mix sugar, salt, paprika, cumin, cinnamon, and cayenne. Set aside.
Place mixed nuts in a large bowl. Beat egg white in a small bowl with a fork until frothy. Pour over nuts and mix well until nuts are evenly coated.
Pour spice mixture over the nuts and stir until they are evenly coated.
Spread onto tray in an even layer. Bake in oven for 45 minutes, stirring once.
Let cool and then serve. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
I used a variety of nuts, but this recipe could easily be used with a single variety such as pecans or almonds. The flavor will still be great!
