Chocolate Chip Heart-Shaped Cookie Cake

This cookie cake tastes just like your favorite batch of chocolate chip cookies, just all in one pan! We customized it with fondant letters, but you can add sprinkles, chocolate icing, flowers, whatever you'd like!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes
Servings 1 heart shaped pan

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat heart-shaped cookie pan with non-stick spray.
  • In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugars on medium speed until light and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl, reduce speed, and add egg, vanilla, and milk or cream.
  • Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Mix until well combined, about 1 minute.
  • Add the chocolate chips and incorporate on low speed.
  • Lightly press all of the cookie dough into in the pan, making sure dough is to the edges and spread evenly. Bake in preheated oven for 13-15 minutes, or until the edges are just starting to turn brown and the middle looks slightly soft. Do not over bake!
  • Let cookie cool for 15 minutes, then loosen the edges with a butter knife and carefully flip onto a tray. Or, like we did, you can just serve it in the pan! Decorate with icing, sprinkles, cut out letters, or all of them! Be creative!
