I’m so excited to be partnered this year with Cricut, Martha Stewart, and Michaels to showcase all of the amazing things that you can make with the Martha Stewart Cricut Explore Air 2, available only at Michaels! Since this Spring, I’ve been sharing simple, yet stunning projects that you can make at home with your Cricut. I have styled an incredible Magical Unicorn Party, an Outdoor Peach party, a Cake Topper, and simple Dinosaur birthday party favor. I absolutely love having the Martha Stewart machine in my craft room! It can cut over 100 different materials, from cardstock, vinyl and iron-on to specialty materials like glitter paper, cork, and bonded fabric. Not only is it a powerful machine, it is gorgeous! It comes in a lustrous vanilla pearl finish with brushed gold accents and a set of coordinating tools.

NEW at Michaels is the revolutionary Cricut EasyPress 2, Special Edition Martha Stewart bundle. If you’ve never used a Cricut EasyPress, you need to! It has the capability of a standard heat press, but with the convenience of a standard iron. The EasyPress 2 heats faster and hotter than the previous model, and will allow you to achieve professional results when making DIY iron-on vinyl projects with your Cricut! The Martha Stewart EasyPress 2 also has brushed gold accents and comes packaged with a sampler of patterned Cricut Iron On, and an Iron On design.

Since I am planning my DIY Christmas Gifts this year, I decided I wanted to make my daughter a monogrammed apron for our annual cookie baking party before Christmas. I saw the green gingham Cricut Patterned Iron-On and I thought it would be so cute as a Christmas wreath!

I’ve designed this Monogrammed Christmas Wreath design in Cricut Design Space so you can just click the link below to open the project in Design Space to make your own.

I have welded the monogram design (because it is overlapped and I don’t want them to cut as separate letters), but you can make your own monogram to match with the Cricut font named “Elizabeth.” Just use two small letters for the First Initial, and Middle Initial, and then one larger letter for the Last Initial.

Size the design to fit your project, and click “Make It” when you’re ready to cut it out.

Make sure you click the slider button to “Mirror” the image since you’re using Iron-On Vinyl, as seen in the image below.

Cricut Design Space will prompt you to Mirror your image when you connect your machine and move to the next screen.

Since you’re using two different kinds of vinyls – patterned and regular – you’ll have to set your machine to the “custom” setting on the dial and choose patterned Iron-On, but can move it to the “Iron-On” setting for the regular Iron-On vinyl.

When the two pieces are finished cutting, weed away the extra vinyl.

Preheat your Cricut EasyPress 2.

For the Patterned Iron-On Vinyl, use the following settings for a canvas/muslin apron:

Press the Patterned Iron-On wreath design onto your project, then set the Martha Stewart EasyPress 2 to the following settings:

If you are using a different material, you can use the Cricut EasyPress Interactive Quick Reference chart.

Using the Cricut EasyPress 2 is so easy! Just apply a slight amount of pressure for the recommended time, and you’re done!

Peel the backing off the vinyl very carefully. If when trying to peel the backing away while the vinyl is warm it starts to lift off the apron, wait for the vinyl to cool completely before peeling the backing off slowly.
